Suzanne Cahill, LMT, CPMT
Suzanne’s interest in holistic wellness literally came about by accident.
After sustaining a cervical spine injury in a rear-end auto collision, her orthopedic physician prescribed lap swimming for physical therapy. That exercise prescription unexpectedly lead to a 15-year career designing and instructing prenatal, postnatal, senior and mainstream aquatic fitness classes under the aegis of the New Canaan YMCA in Connecticut. She also designed and instructed aquatic fitness classes for the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Western Connecticut. Her professional credentials included certification by the Aquatic Exercise Association (AEA) as well as a personal trainer certification through the YMCA-USA.
After moving to the Mid-Hudson Valley of New York in 2007, Suzanne became
an administrative partner with Health Care is a Human Right. A non-profit organization, HCHR sponsors free community-based holistic healthcare clinics throughout the Mid-Hudson region. Seeing the positive results of caring, compassionate healthcare at the clinics inspired her to return to school and study massage therapy.
A graduate of the Cumberland Institute of Holistic Therapies in Brentwood, TN, Suzanne
is a certified prenatal massage therapist. Her prenatal and integrative massage sessions utilize Acupressure,Myofascial Release, Lymphatic Drainage Massage (LDM) inspired by the Vodder Technique,Craniosacral Therapy inspired by the the technique of John Upledger, M.D., Swedish Massage, and when appropriate, aromatherapy.
Suzanne’s intention for her practice is to offer a comfortable, compassionate, and encouraging environment for her clients to find their own paths to wellness.
